Kestrel CCD Detectors and Spectrographs

Kestrel spectroscopy systems can incorporate detector hardware from several different manufacturers, including those listed below:

Supported detectors include those from the following companies:

- PixelVision, Inc. (spectroscopy CCDs)

- Andor Technology

- Princeton Instruments (Roper)

Supported spectrographs include:

- Catalina Scientific SE 200 Echellette Spectrograph

- CVI Laser Corporation (Digikrom 240, 480, and CM-110 SP models)

- McPherson, Inc.

- Chromex, Inc. (250, 500 i, is models)

- Acton Research Corp. (SpectraPro models)

- Thermo Vision Colorado (Jarrell-Ash models, formerly Scientific Measurement Systems)

(Detectors can also be used with spectrographs from other manufacturers.)

"Obsolete" detector systems that are still supported by our KestrelSpec software - perhaps you still have one of these older models:

- Photometrics Ltd. SDS 9000 CCD, Nu200 CCD systems (NuBus -interface models only)

- Princeton Instruments, Inc. CCD systems (ST-135 GPIB interface and ST-138 NuBus interface models)

- EG&G OMA III (diode-array) systems (1460, 1461, 1471-A controller models)
